The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.

Checking electrical equipment in the workplace for safety is a well-established practice, following the introduction of the Electricity at Work Regulations in 1989 and subsequently, the publication of the IEE Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment in 1994.

The Electricity at Work Regulations came into force on 1st April 1990. They require precautions to be taken against the risk of death or injury from electricity in work activities - this includes equipment accessible to the public in offices, hotels, shops, schools and colleges, etc.

.
How We Can Help.

Our technicians are qualified to undertake electrical safety checks on your behalf, and to help you comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations.

We will carry out a formal inspection of every appliance and power lead, supplemented by electrical testing, where appropriate.

The equipment will be individually tagged with its overall safety status, a unique asset ID number and the date that the inspection was carried out.
